We don’t Charge money for ministrations. During a Conference held at The Household of David, Lagos, by Pastor Shola Osunmakinde, alot of impartation and transformation by the Holy Ghost took place. Ministers of the gospel that graced the conference were Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, Apostle Joshua Selman, Minister Dunsin Oyekan, Victoria Orenze and Bukola Bekes.
Before the conference was wrapped up, Pastor Sola thought it wise to engage some of his guest ministers in an interactive session to disclose the secrets of their success in life and ministry. One of the most interesting topics they discussed was the aspect of ministers of the gospel charging Money and bargaining for price before they come for ministrations.
They took out time to talk about their personal dealings with God extensively, and how it has uttered their convictions and personal lifestyles in their approach to humanity, Life and Destiny.
Scroll down to watch video Now. Dunisn Oyekan was the first to speak and answer to this topic. He started…
DUNSIN OYEKAN: I remember God telling me that the day I start charging, then the well will dry up. You know everybody has his own dealing with God, so that dealing does not allow me do certain things. The dimes of what He releases to me and the experience I have kept me humble before Him.
I thank my father more especially because from the time I started playing the bass, He would make sure he bombards me with scriptures. He would talk to me about charging and bargaining Price before ministrations.
My father loves and encourages music, so he likes musicians at that time. If he finds out that you know how to play, he’ll make sure he trains you in line with scriptures and school you thoroughly, he’ll tell you not to charge for ministrations.
Personally, if I decide to charge and bargain price with churches before coming to minister, I won’t be comfortable. Because I’ll be asking myself ” Is this really how much I worth? ” What of people who don’t have the money, won’t they enjoy the Grace of God flowing from my life? ”… These and more are the things I consider. That’s for me.
VICTORIA ORENZE: First of all, I’m not in a hurry to go anywhere. I’m not in a hurry to minister or sing anywhere. Concerning charging, I don’t charge because God said ” DON’T ” but I don’t criticise those that charge.
The Lord told me not to charge, but if God is telling you to charge, go ahead. We will all give account of our lives and Ministries before Jesus Christ. God is not a liar, if He’s telling you to charge people, just go ahead, as for me, he said ” DON’T ”.
BUKOLA BEKES: God gave us two words. Firstly, He said to us ” I will be your Source ” secondly, He said ” Contentment is a great gain ” so we have these two words. I can testify that God has been out Source. We don’t follow the crowd, we only follow where God is leading us to. He said we shouldn’t charge, so we don’t.
NATHANIEL BASSEY: Let me say this quickly, Your calling determines your Consecration. An average Jew has a Consecration. A Levite has a Consecration. A Nazarene has a Consecration. So, when people ask me if they should charge for a meeting or not, I ask them, ” What has God called you to do? ”
When we began, God told me clearly ” You won’t charge and I will put you on my payroll ” and I know what it means to be on God’s payroll. Anytime I talk about charging, I get serious Persecution from fellow gospel singers but I’m okay with it. It’s fine. This is why we don’t charge money for Ministrations.
These are their personal contributions to the topic. What do you think?
